David Young

David Young combines extensive entrepreneurial experience with an original career extending over 20 years in banking and finance.

He was sponsored by Midland Bank and achieved a Bsc(Hons) in Banking and Marketing at Loughborough. This was followed by an extensive tour of duty with Midland & HSBC including running key commercial lending portfolios, business development roles, and heading up UK Marketing teams. He prides himself on his highly developed marketing, sales and relationship building skills.

Over the last 7 years David has been MD and shareholder of marketing and communications businesses in London, property development companies and building companies. He has helped build these businesses rapidly, has negotiated sales, restructured, and integrated them into new groups. He has held a senior executive position with WPP, the global communications group, and is an experienced consultant and business advisor at Board level in major plc companies.

He is currently MD of his own industrial property company, runs a business helping other businesses to accelerate performance, is a director of Plymouth Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of Saltash Round Table.
